Teachers Notes
Storytime is a subsection of the Scoilnet site. It is aimed at young readers and writers aged 7-12 years and focuses on the following:
- Improving students’ vocabulary, writing skills and critical thinking skills
- Encouraging students to publish their work
- Providing fun and interactive tools
- Presenting pre-reading and pre-writing activities
- Engaging students in interviews with authors
Lesson Plans and printable resources relating to stories:
- Fairytales Ideas, information and lesson plans based on Fairy Tales.
- Blank Book Report With prompts for students to fill in for characters, settings, plot, etc.
- Story Starters Pages to print, containing a picture and starting paragraph to spark students' imaginations.
